Welcome!

As you can tell, my name is Amanda Corcoran. I had my first sprinkle of yoga in 2019 at Wolf Moon Wellness in Holbrook, NY. At the time, I had no idea there was anything more than the idea I had of yoga (which was something similar to what we know as Vinyasa). The class offered was a Yin class. I had never tried to stay still, let alone “pay money to stay still”. Even the sound of Om had made me giggle. At that moment, I would never have been able to comprehend the future that was in store for me.

How action came to reality:

I dropped out of Rutgers University in December of 2021. Thinking I had figured out that I was going to take on a life of meditation. I soon started consistent yoga classes at Just Breathe in Sayville, NY. I admired the statues of the deities within the space. After a handful of yoga classes, I was inspired to learn more than just the poses. I signed up for the Fall 2022 YTT with Always at Aum. Graduating on the winter solstice of 2022 with my 200-hour Vinyasa.

Since 2022, I have taught at
– cat cafes
– gyms
– music festivals
– yoga festivals
– colleges
– hot yoga studios
– private homes
– parks

The journey so far has been transformative, to say the least. I plan on starting Rod Stryker’s 300-hour teacher training in the fall of 2026. My love for teaching reaches far more than just movement; I devote myself to God. By maintaining connection to God through my journey, I can be a beacon of light for those who need assistance in multidimensional aspects. Allowing myself to give back everything I know- to my students, lifting them higher than myself. With God’s guidance, I am safe.

A few of my favorite memories within yoga have been
– Experiencing YTT
– Driving to Ohio State University for Kirtan and connecting with ISKCON. I had arrived at the doorsteps of the temple asking to join their kirtan, with the surprise of being asked, “Can you be of service and drive us to an event?… A world of its own, unlocked in those following hours.
-When I sub a new class & there are all new faces! I love the experience of connecting with new students!
-When I got my first standing back bend. This was one of the first true times I let go of full fear and trusted God in full.
-Letting go fully in meditation

My favorite mantra: Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah, Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat
It is not a request for wealth or power, but rather a profound meditation asking the Divine to awaken our inner wisdom, remove spiritual darkness, and guide our intellect toward the path of righteousness.

I am honored to share this journey alongside you. As time passes, I can only hope we move from connecting through this screen to in person!
